Can't Believe What I Did

... and that it took almost a week to even see it!I reversed the position of my side blocks in the center section. I was so intent on keeping the elephants right-side-up and lost sight of my plan. The plan that so pleased me.
All this week I've been changing everything around in the top section. Until late this afternoon I didn't have a clue why the initial arrangement wasn't working ... why I couldn't leave it alone. Aaargh!

Well, that center section is not getting taken apart. I am satisfied with the arrangement as it hangs on the wall, but I can't believe what I did.

Can't see the forest for the trees so the saying goes Nellie-

At least the elephants are right side up.... It has quite a different effect without the lights all together in the centre...

I went to the album and saw where this happened. How frustrating! You're brave to post this. I thought of you yesterday when I was struggling with my project!

I love this piece more each time you tweak it!

Brave of you to post this! It is somehow so easy to make these kind of mistakes and not even realise it. Not as bad as the time I speed pieced together a long string of blocks with wrong sides together...all inside out..arrgh.

I'm sure that's why I keep unfinished work sitting around for so long -I often alter things too.

Goodness, I thought I was the only one who can't see the forest for the trees! I do that much too often. You have given me strength! LOL

I think this piece is lovely! In fact, my husband just walked by the computer as I was reading your blog, and he commented on how lovely your piece is...and he is normally a man of few words!

elephants? What elephants?

Well, Rayna, see that's the thing that really makes me want to kick myself for getting those blocks switched around. At the moment keeping those two elephants that are not all that obvious upright seemed very important. Aaargh!
