ATC's
Three quilted trading cards were made for Susan, Arlee, and Vero who have added their creativity to my Exquisite Corpse piece. You may recognize the elements from "Come With Me to the Kasbah".
I had previously sent ATC's to Caroline and Julie who also added their skills and imagination to that piece. Caroline's got in the mail before I thought to take a picture of it. Here's both sides of Julie's.
My Exquisite Corpse piece will be presented here with close-up photos when it arrives in the mail from Canada. The last two mailings from there to here have taken sooooooo long ... nearly five weeks for one and two+ weeks and still counting for this one. Is it the gas prices? Customs? What?

letters back and forth seem to move smoothly, but in the last 6 months or so I swear every package is being checked by customs... They say there's been a huge increase in internet cross border shopping which has increased the quantities at the same time there's been an increase in security... Being only a couple of hours from the border I'm almost read to rent a box in the US and go pick up mail once in a while and physically cross customs with it!
It's very KEWL to know one of my fabrics was in your award winning art, and to have a little piece of it come back across the continent :]Ah, the wonders of the web and the post!
Arlee's trading card is the far right one of the three together. She had sent me a piece of her hand-dyed and stamped red fabric that I used just about all of in my BIG quilt. The tiny bits that were left are part of her ATC.
The trading cards are lovely and the echoes of "Come With Me to the Kasbah" give an additional oomph!
