Really Busy

Nineteen birds in a basket
Alicia and I have been really busy making these birds besides going shopping, to the Allison Krauss/Robert Plant concert, a trip to the mountains and another dinner party. Tomorrow is her last day here. Soon I'll post a tutorial and pictures so you can see all of these birds ... plus the ones that will be made before she leaves.

You've done all that running around PLUS nineteen birds??! Has either one of you been sleeping at all? These are great and I am looking forward to the tutorial as well. By the way, I think you need a bigger basket!

How was the concert? I LOVE the cd, and we have tickets to see them at Chastain in Atlanta next month.

I had no idea that we have this in common!

You really are having TOO much fun!! just kidding of course. Busy is a bit of an understatement! The tumble of birds look fun but the basket looks very interesting, Is that made from buttons??

I thank all of you for your comments and interest. Making these birds is like eating peanuts ... it's difficult not to make just one more.

Karen, the basket is made of mother of pearl buttons. It was purchased from a gallery in Oak Park. My DIL said there were quite a few a different shapes and sizes.
