New Sofa

Woo Hoo! We have a new sofa!  It's upholstered with a micro-fiber that I'd swear is a brushed suede if I hadn't seen a separate piece of the fabric.
About twelve years ago we had gone looking for a replacement for this one ...
We ended up getting it reupholstered because there were none that we liked enough to spend so much money on.  Recently we did a bit of furniture rearranging which exposed the raggedy rattan on the end of this couch.  So two weeks ago we went looking again.  There's a lot of over-sized furniture out there, but we also saw quite a few "normal" sized sofas.  As I recall on that long ago shopping trip, everything we saw was just too big with wide armrests.

It came this morning and I've had fun playing with decorator pillows and moving art pieces around to accommodate the shape and color of this new piece of furniture.

I love your new sofa Nellie - it is elegant and smart, yet practical and looks very comfortable.

My new sofa is the same fabric, I think. It is micro-fiber and the same color. The problem I have with it is static. OMG! I have to discharge the static when I get up off the sofa. Big zaps on the light switch!

I passed a microfiber couch down to my kids recently--very practical, especially with pets. I'm sure you'll love your new couch for years!

Loved seeing the rest of your room and the walls covered with art and "stuff"...my walls are the same way!

I have a recliner upholstered in that fabric. I don't have the static problem that Paula mentioned and this fabric cleans up great. Just rub over it with a wash cloth and a tiny bit of soap then go over it with only a wet cloth. It will be good as new!

What a great assortment of art! My first thoughts were "what a cool bleeping room," but thought that might be a tad inappropriate. :) But everything from the pillows to the large letters on the wall inspire and provoke thought. Love it!

Your couch is perfect! Fits into your artful living room perfectly.
I have that exact color on mine and love how everything works with it.
My daughter has had that fabric on her couch for over 10 years and it shows no wear at all. She says it cleans up simply if you spill on it too.
