Sixty-Eight!!!!!!!!!

This doll was presented to me on my 60th birthday. Eight years later, most of those writings apply more now than they did back then. Thankfully, there are some that are no longer pertinent at all. There are a couple that never did happen, but may yet be in my future.

In spite of what's happening to my outside, I ascribe to the thoughts of Gertrude Stein, "We are always the same age inside." Much of the time I feel wiser from years of experience, but still young at heart. This delightful book is my present from the very young at heart man who married me more than forty-six years ago.

Happy Birthday! What a very cool book. I have a friend that would go crazy for that. If I buy it now I wonder if I will remember that I have it for her birthday in December?

Happy birthday, Nellie! I'll be joining you at this age soon. That is a great book. Anyone would like it--I'm thinking of a couple of two year olds I know.

What a fun book and quite inspiring too. I shall have to go and have a look at the Tate site.

Have a very happy birthday. My son loves pop ups and my mom keeps him well supplied. We have 'One Red Dot' by the same author. Alex's favorite is The Castaway Pirates which is a fun story and fantastic art and pop ups.

Happy Birthday Nellie. How 'kind' of your friends to write all those things on the doll they gave you on your 6oth. A few sour grapes maybe - because you look so good! It's all a question of personality and wearing the right shaped clothes to hide the bad bits. The book sounds great.

Many thanks to all of you. Your kind thoughts made this birthday a bit happier.

I loooove all pop-up books and will be hinting that I desire the other three (plus the planned 4th one) for future presents.

Heather, it was my husband who gifted me that voo-doo doll on my 60th He thought she looked a lot like me, plus he's intimate with all that's not perfect about me ;-)
